Planting beds & gardens
Biodegradable Finnish reed mulch helps suppress weeds, retain soil moisture and improve soil structure. The webshop’s 70 L bag covers approximately 0.7 m² at a 10 cm layer depth.
Spread around plantings in a layer of about 10 cm. Water after spreading to help the material settle into place.

We also process reed into different forms for our customers’ applications.
Reed chaff
We process reed into different chaff sizes to suit the intended use. Summer reed can be used for soil improvement and growing media; winter reed is drier and used for bedding and fuel.
Reed pellets
Our pelletising facility produces 6 mm and 8 mm pellets for animal bedding and other uses, including heat production. Contact us about larger orders and the material you need.
Reed bundles
Our bundling harvester gathers reed into bundles as it cuts. The bundles can be processed for thatching, straws and craft products.
